GoffsGo Launches With Horses On The Market, and More to Follow In the Coming Days
GoffsGo, the new, always on, online sales platform from Goffs, was announced to the market last week and today the facility goes live with four horses on the market and selling, all of which close for bidding this week. Tomorrow will see the high-class mare Ceistiu, in foal to Mehmas, published on GoffsGo with more entries to be released in the coming days.
An easy to use, always on sales facility, GoffsGo takes the waiting out of selling horses online. Offering a point of significant difference to the existing online marketplace, GoffsGo gets your horse onto the market fast, cutting waiting times and allowing owners to maximise their horse's value by selling when the time is right for them. It also introduces an unrivalled source of value, with a special launch entry fee of just £49 and the lowest vendor commission of any auction house, the standard 1.5% as with all Goffs sales.
GoffsGo is taking entries today and every day, with more horses to be added to the platform over the coming days. Currently live for sale are the following horses:
- Check This Out (2YO C by Ten Sovereigns), produced a tough and smart performance to break his maiden on just his second and most recent start for Noel Meade at Roscommon following a second placing on debut. Bidding closes Friday at 2pm.
- Fairlawn Skipper (5YO G by Schiaparelli), broke his maiden on just his second and most recent bumper start for Mickey Bowen at Stratford following a third placing on debut. Bidding closes Thursday at 2pm.
- Greenlightforgo (4YO G by Le Havre), winner of his most recent start for Tim Easterby over a mile at Newcastle. Bidding closes Thursday at 2.20pm.
- Moonhall Lass (3YO F by Dandy Man), placed five times in her 16 outings for Alan McIntyre. Bidding closes Thursday at 2.30pm.
- Online on Tuesday – Ceistiu (9YO M by Vocalised), offered in foal to Mehmas, she is dam of the smart 3YO colt Merchant who claimed his third career victory in Royal Ascot's King George V Stakes. Merchant carries entries in the Gr.1 King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes and the Gr.2 Sky Bet Great Voltigeur Stakes. Bidding will open on Thursday from 12pm and close on Friday at 3pm.
An always on marketplace, GoffsGo operates with no set sale dates. Instead, entries are always open, 365 days of the year and Goffs will work with each vendor to arrange the fastest available date to put their horse on the market. As entries do not form part of a monthly catalogue, they are offered individually, and horses are open for bidding as soon as they are published on the website, with bidding remaining open for between three to five days before closing.
Potential purchasers are naturally required to register to bid with GoffsGo, but unlike the traditional registration method, in which buyers are authorised for a single sale, approved registrations will be given a term length for their credit, leaving buyers free to bid online across all Goffs sales, both physical and online, that are held during the approved credit period.
Commenting on the launch of GoffsGo, Group Chief Executive, Henry Beeby said:
"Today heralds a new dawn for the online sale of thoroughbreds as GoffsGo offers a vibrant, always on alternative to the traditional marketplace. Unique to GoffsGo is our tailoring of buyers' preferences so you get what you want rather than an endless stream of generalised information. The GoffsGo platform is customer led, offering the lowest selling costs whilst availing of the unique Goffs service and global reach".
